Mail one CD to the Library of Congress. Cost $45 http://www.copyright.gov/register/sound.html
Next register with BMI http://www.bmi.com They track down monies owed to you when people use your music.
Finally send your CD to CDBABY http://www.CDbaby.net Cost $100 (If you use Oasis it is free) They can barcode it and get it on iTunes and other Digital Downloads.
For publicity, get a myspace account, upload your whole/portion of your new songs and add friends like there is no tomorrow!
